Aotearoa American Trust
We are currently scoping a reciprocal international exchange programme between Aotearoa, New Zealand and the United States, enabling graduate researchers to study in the partner country.
Inspiration for the Aotearoa American Trust came from Dr. Maarire Goodall's tenure at the Chicago Medical School's Institute for Medical Research. The intention is to provide a prestigious annual study grant fostering trans-Pacific exchange. We will invite proposals from any study area, with preference given to areas of interest to Dr. Maarire Goodall and Seed The Change | He Kākano Hāpai, which include medical research and indigenious perspectives. We will be inviting researchers of Masters level or equivalent to apply, with consideration also given to researchers not in tertiary education.
Our vision is to grow the scholarship to foster long-lasting international exchanges of information and practices. The scale and impact of this study award would be greatly enhanced with a larger capital base.
Whilst we are working through the establishment of this significant annual study grant, we will be offering modest travel scholarships for researchers or medical professionals to attend conferences in the United States. Preference will be given to conferences held at the New York Academy of Sciences.
These travel scholarships will be launched in 2018.
